Re: A Tale of Two Patricians

I’m at my shop again for the first time since July and found that my PC isn’t working so I’m posting this from my iPad.

This visit’s work is going to be entirely to clear out the left (west) quarter of the shop so that insulation can be put in the day before I leave. I have made good headway but for the Patrician which is in the way for the work, there are two choices: pull it outside, then push it back in again which will require the tractor OR get it to go out and come back in under its own power so that’s what I’m trying for. It needs the reinstalled TreadleVac, which has been rebuilt, bleed brakes, assemble the fuel pump and put in petrol. The steering column also needs to be reinstalled after the shifter was unstuck when I was here last. If time, I’ll also fix a seep at the thermostat housing.

Photos show rebuilt TreadleVac alongside the one that came out, the fuel pump pump in pieces. The old diaphragms are probably in too bad shape to try to save!
