The pins are slightly tapered so can only drive out one way. Unless the smaller end has been mushroomed and deformed enough to spread over the hole you should be able to see a very small difference in diameter and would drive out from the narrower side. I believe one side may drive from the front and the other from the rear but don't remember which side is which.
