After the second quarter of the shop’s insulation is done, the Henney-Packard and the lift it’s on will be moved to another section of the shop so last night I removed many of the parts for it that have been collecting on the lift between the front and rear tires. Heavy parts like the rear end and transmission are stored on the floor in another part of the shop and there are yet more bits and pieces inside.
After that, I drove the 1965 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special that was parked under it and started to let it down but failed to notice that the rear bumper was overhanging the 1956 Clipper! Fortunately there is a pair of old 1954 Patrician rear seat cushions on the roof of the Clipper that made an unexpected sound when the bumper touched them so I stopped just in time. They were sticking out a bit farther than they were by the time I took the photo below so the bumper touched them first. The Clipper’s antenna was extended part way and got bent slightly but no serious damage, fortunately.
