Re: Resurrecting a 1951 Henney-Packard Parts Car

When I get to the transmission, the overdrive unit will likely need to be cleaned out and flushed as it has been sitting with no governor so dust likely got inside. Is there are process to do this short of dismantling it?

And speaking of governor, neither of the two I have are with unbroken Bakelite but I came across that piece by itself and it is unbroken. However, it is somewhat different in the way in adjusts (different screw types) and I fear that swapping the cover would really mess up the adjustments. Any thoughts and is there any way to tell if this piece is even from this era?
