Re: Resurrecting a 1951 Henney-Packard Parts Car

Although not even on my radar to look for it, by chance I found the 2-way Motorola radio! This photo shows only the control head and speaker as the radio itself is huge so has taken some searching to figure out where it mounts.

I have still not located the Federal WLR siren and I realized that I also need the door spotlight with mirror which I believe is the same as that used on passenger cars. Does anyone have one that is NOT in pristine condition to better match this rough car?

Also, does the R11 OD solenoid have a flat gasket behind it in addition to the seal on the shaft? Does the governor have some kind of sealing ring such as a gasket or crush-washer?

UPDATE: I have located and purchased a Unity siren/mirror and NO, the overdrive solenoid does not use a gasket or even the adapter that the earlier R9 units had. Still looking for the Federal WLR siren but I did find and buy the special cast bronze base that it needs.
