When you get around to the headlight switch here is an exploded view of the inside. Carefully bend the small tangs on the body up to release the phenolic back and use care to hold things together when removing the phenolic because the spring will try to throw the contacts a fair distance. Use a good cleaner on the contacts and case and then apply a small amount of light grease back in the case so the contact assy can slide easily.

The rheostat section which controls the dash lights is notorious for corrosion buildup around the wiper centers and under the rivets where they make the connection between the terminals and switch contact pieces. Either will drop the voltage enough the dash lights will not work. It is almost impossible to clean the corrosion if it has started under the rivets but Ross has had good luck with a tiny dab of valve grinding compound on the wipers followed by a vigorous turning back and forth then a thorough cleaning with brake cleaner to get every speck of the grinding compound off. He has found that treatment will usually take care of poor contact with the wipers.
