I think our '47 had the same engine. maybe they raised the compression though. The super eight will pin you in the seat, it is a 356 cubic inch after all. We traded for the earlier styling. There's a chunk of time from the mid to late '30s where the 110 six and 120 small eight were newer and therefore better designs than the senior models of the same years.
