Today I buttoned up the front brakes and went hunting for the BTV. Let's just say it fought me pretty good. A couple of bruised knuckles, but it's out. The two brake lines that came off the distribution block on the back of the master cylinder snapped, which I half expected. So I'll need to make 2 new lines, but they're thankfully fairly short. All but one bolt that holds the floor plate to the BTV vacuum chamber came out. One is stubborn and even snapped loose the nut that I assume was tack welded to the BTV vacuum chamber. Gonna have to get the cutting disc out to remove it later. The top of the master cylinder appears to me to have been reinstalled in the wrong direction (the filler cap is directly under the steering column). I soaked the whole thing in PB blaster, hopefully the flat head screws work loose or I'm in for more work.
