Usually the 4 bolts holding the unit to the plate come out easily The nuts are part of the unit and by supporting the unit with rags or a block so it will sit in the car once bolts are removed, the floor plate can also be removed. Once that is off it gives a fair amount of access to undo the tubing.

If the lines were so bad they snapped you might want to think about replacement of lines and hoses anyway. I was unable to do a decent double flare in steel tubing so replaced mine using premade lengths of 3/16 steel tubing available from NAPA. The line going to the rear wheels did require two pieces with an inline connection fitting hidden above one of the body supports but was able to get the other pieces in lengths that worked well. A couple did require a slight artistic license in bending to take care of a couple of inches excess length but nothing out of the ordinary.
