This one looks pretty decent shape. More pictures....
Thank you, it is. It has some, very little rust in the rockers, but that notorious A-pillar rust is absent. The engine was changed awhile back, but the guy bought another 356 to go in it and I go to collect that today.
I may do some research to see if I can find a "numbers matching" - I know they didn't, but timeframe - block. I think that this is an earlier one, but I might be wrong. I have 3 '47 complete engines and a '47 block, so it may just get to be close enough. This other engine, today's pick-up, is a '47, too.

Love it Wat!! Fred made a great choice on this one, for sure. May the Fred-Force be with you.........
That Fred is one smart critter. She was already scoping the underside as I was fishing the chains out from under it last night. We got in at dark, and I loathe unloading stuff like that in the dark, but what are you going to do?
Fred gets to play on/in it today and she can tell me her ideas when I get back in tonight.
More pics later.
