hood parts came to us in primer but had to be stripped as it was improperly applyed for the application.talked to the customer today and discussed the cars history aswell as the issues of the undercoating and use of gloss black. he mentioned that there was some discusion and deliberation on the subgect at the judging training lecture at the packards international most recent meet where he and my associate attended a month or so ago in california. he figures after the first 10,000 miles with a bit of road grime on it the chassis will take on the semigloss look and he likes the look of a highly detailed chassis. as for the history he belives the car was origionally delivered in newyork area or coneticut.it has been off the road since 62 and the first 24 years are a bit of a mystery other than it is belived the origional owner lived in new york and had a summer estate in coneticut.
