1937 115c touring, Upholstery

OK, Here goes a "project"
Commencing a restoration of the original tattered upholstery .
I'm starting in the rear with the seats and side panels.
I have a friend who is going to do the stitching.
We are progressing slowly on the de-construstion of the original material to generate pattern material.

A question ( one of a million to come LOL) about the thin gray matting found under the rear side arm rests. It looks like mill felt. ( my term)
Any info on process, Material, Watch for's head liner woes,, Etc..
I'll attach several photos of the progress so far shortly.
