A couple of issues I had when starting a long sitting engine was with a lot of cranking with no start the plugs fouled and were moist so were grounding the spark. Also, make sure the points have not oxidized from just sitting. Only takes a few seconds to use a point file or run some coarse paper like from a heavy paper sack thru them to clean off any oily deposits.
