A bit of a correction. We managed to positively ID the motor. It's a 3.8L XK Jaguar Mark 2 - 1959-67, with a "B type" cylinder head, painted dark blue metallic, 2 × SU HD6 carburettors. Rated 220bhp.
Also, as silly as it may sound, I went through and cleaned and conditioned all the good leather in the car. This included the door panels, package tray and rumble seat. Most because they were rodent soiled and I really have this thing against hanta virus.
They cleaned up pretty decent. Also the rumble seat floor carpet is too bad either.
