Typically the old links are reused. If Kanter's 37 shoes are like those supplied for the 47, the support web on the new shoes will be too thick for the original cylinder links. If Kanter cannot supply the proper wider links quickly enough you may find it easier to go to Napa (take a shoe) and get some that fit.
