The last challenge for today, installing the wipers. When I got the car it was missing every part of the wiper system. The wiper motor I got from ebay for $2.25. The wiper arms, towers and transmission arms came from Joel Ray.

I already had the tower gaskets for another model, and just had to slightly trim them.

The towers installed just fine with 6-32 3/4" stainless slotted screws.

The wiper motor was a total pain just trying to figure out the orientation was a challenge. I finally figured out that mounts upside down with the transmission connection towards the firewall. It mounts to two tabs that come down from the cowl. But neither the tabs or the wiper motor are threaded. The tabs have a slot in them. But you really can't reach the topside of those tabs once you put the motor in place. So you can't use a bolt and nut. Not sure what was used originally, but I used a push on style speed clips and 10-24 3/4 screws. But this still required me to be upside-down under the dash facing upwards with a looong screw driver.

With thar bolted in, I was able to connect the transmission arms and install the retainer clip.

Then I went to mount the wiper arms and blades. The arms came with the grouping from Joel. Which I really bought for the towers. Let's just say the arms are too long, and probably for a sedan.
