Staring pulling the left side apart to replace the kingpin.

I was able to drive out the old bushings, clean everything up and drive in the new ones. Also got them reamed to the correct size.

Then tried to reassemble and found a problem. The new kingpins are too long, and the original has the lock groove offset.

After some conversations with Flackmaster the issue was lower outer pins that were put in a kingpin box as some point in the past. The correct pins on the way.

One other question, with the new bearing the old shim is too thick. So Flackmaster is going to send me some thinner ones. But just to be sure, is there a specified about of play/clearance that is supposed to be there so I know what size shim I need?
