Several things going on. Moved onto my running boards. Have new pads coming in From Steel rubber tomorrow. I found this thread as a reference. Going to follow this best I can.https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?start=10&topic_id=23260&order=ASC&status=&mode=0

As I was taking the boards off and cleaning I was wondering if the pads were a standard? And if so why did they put the ridges in the metal and then mimic them in the padding?

My driver side has some crusty spots so I will need to be careful when cleaning that area. The driver side was pretty solid and the paint was still pretty true. The old pads were just ribbed rubber. I think my grand mother had them replaced. Probably by the same guy who put on the exhaust.

If you can take a look earlier in the post and comment on my exhaust path that would be great!
