You can't get it off without a proper puller. That is, you can't get it off without damaging it. Some auto parts stores rent the puller if you don't want to buy one, but the last time I seen one for rent was a long time ago, so it may not be available to rent anymore.



That being said, SOMETIMES you can leave the nut loose a little and drive it around the block SLOWLY and get it to come loose. Key word here is "SOMETIMES".
