Nice acquisition, Randy!

I'd defer to the stamped "JN" - Tangier Red over Maltese Gray - although that was not one of the standard two-tone schemes. Unless the car was later repainted, what appears to be orange paint omn the exterior could simply be a badly faded case of Tangier Red.

The seat "pattern" jibes the my recollection of the only other '56 Patrician that I've personally seen with an all-leather interior, which was light blue, white and dark blue. However, Vermillion (an orange-red shade, as used in one of the Caribbean interiors) is not among any of the four trim sets shown in the '56 showroom album for all-leather upholstery on the Patricians. Also, the silver band on your car seems to be a different touch.

Back in the 1980s, a low-miles Exec hardtop (Norwegian Forest over Dover White) resurfaced that had been specially-equipped by the factory, after much persistence from the buyer, with Carib engine and dark green all-leather interior - among other things- and was reasonably well-documented. IIRC it had smooth, non-perforated dark green headlining. Last I heard, it was in the hands of a NJ collector.
