Howard, I did see that SC you are referring to. It will have to be something I keep an eye on when pulling stuff apart to see what may be needed to mate everything successfully. This is one of the reasons why I sourced a spare GS bellhousing and GS oil pan, so I can completely rebuild it on the bench. This way I can work through any issues, without having to take the Clipper out of service.

I just wonder how many failed Ultramatics that are out there are the result of mismatched parts from some rebuilder that know any better. Makes you wonder.

On another note, drained the fluid out of the transmission/converter last night. It was used and a bit dark, but not burnt smelling. A tiny bit of lining particles in the fluid.
