Hi Ken:
It was a delight to meet you on show day at the Reading Meet, I really enjoyed our time together chatting about things Packard and other. I don't know what Packard's engine paint scheme was in 37 but postwar the engines were painted with the mount already attached and thus it was engine color as shown by this factory assembly line photo.
