You should be pleased with your compression numbers, good uniformity and reasonable values, it should be a nice performer. When you did the compression, did you have both the throttle and choke plates open?

One of the major reasons for damage to the flywheel ring gear is 12-volt conversions. The starter really SLAMS into the ring gear.
