Making the turbo's work to allow them to face each other took some serious thinking last night, but when you look at it now it looks so simple. I needed to have both the exhaust outlets facing outwards, and doing this was the challenge. The compressor (intake) side is fully rotateable from the turbine (exhaust) side. But the exhaust inlet is not rotateable from the exhaust outlet. This way solves the problem and makes the plumbing so much simpler plus keeps it all on the passenger side of the engine, without draping over the engine and causing interference with the plugs and plug wires. An added benefit is that I'll be able to remove the head without removing the intake.
