As one who has also been involved in blow-thru carb turbo setups for over 30 years, I also like the "hat" solution rather than the "airbox" setup. See:http://www.originalho.com/TurboForce.html

There are aerodynamic issues with both arrangements, but the "hat" is particularly sensitive to aero configuration.

I agree with Jack that at 5psi or less, the carb maintenance is no big deal. At above 10psi, that changes though.
