Craig's Panther Project -- Fuel system

I have challenging requirements for the fuel delivery system on my Panther Project.

1. Engine is 374CD 1956 Packard V-8. It has Packard 2x4 intake with Holley true 2x4 carbs. Other "go fast goodies" include Lazer HiPo hydraulic cam and lifters, adapted 1971 GTO Ram Air intake, custom headers with Magnaflow mufflers and B/W T-10 4-speed with floor shift.

2. During the Summer, the temperature and driving conditions can be severe. 115F is not uncommon. The altitude in Pahrump is 2,700FT and in Las Vegas it is 2,200FT. The pass over the Spring Mountains is at 5,200FT.

In order to meet these challenging requirements, I wanted a fuel delivery system that would NEVER vapor lock, even under hard acceleration up the mountain grade in the teeth of Summer.

This thread describes what I installed on my Panther Project to meet this challenge. The notable design points are:

1) Full return system design.
2) Large, high pressure electric fuel pump in the rear.
3) High performance mechanical fuel pump in the front.
4) Holley fuel pressure regulator in front.
5) Larger fuel lines in both feed and return.
6) Sumped fuel tank (modified stock).
