Guscha, as long as we've digressed this far, let me go a step further. Any identification of the ocean liner in your photo Leningrad1957d? Assuming it's a Russian ship, I first thought it might be one of the Ivan Franko class (Ivan Franko, Aleksandr Pushkin, Taras Shevehenko, Shota Rustaveli, or Mikhail Lermontov) yet they weren't built until 1963 thru 1970, yet judging by the lines it's almost certainly a product of the 50s, much too modern to be the Admiral Nachimow (ex-Berlin). I suppose the all-white hull could be a clue, the lines look British but don't think British ships were calling in the USSR at that time.
