ok. so it IS possible to pass from Alaska to Russia via common wheeled land vehicle. The following are attempting the journey on 60 year old Nimbus sidecar rigs.http://www.kccd.no/home_en.html

Not exactly Packard or Zis/Zil/Chaika related but it does give rise to new ideas about maybe going to Russia for scrounging vintage tin. Especialy for someone like me that does not like to fly nor float.
