Indeed Gerd, I think that might be the case here.In former days in Leningrad (todays St.Petersburg) and Moscow used ZIS and ZIM cars also as taxis, elsewhere including the baltic states these cars where for parade use only. Except some ZIMs that where indeed taxis in the late 60s and 70s in the capital city.
I know several former taxis that where later rebuild, whit new parts and offered as some high Communist party members car. This is a old trick that was done here in the 90s and
some people fell for this trick. In my eyes this is basically selling a rebuild rust bucket to a unsuspecting costumer.

The documentation for this ZIS 110 came from Estonia, in the former papers it says it was a car used on the Haapsalu airstrip (military air base new closed). Yeah, anyone could have written that paper here in the 90s and Gerd proved to us that this car cant be Stalins personal vehicle.
