Wedding by the Harbour

Used the Coupe for a wedding yesterday. Did the deed for my butcher who had asked earlier this month whether it was available for his son's wedding on the 28th, and it was! Picked up the bride, maid of honour and the butcher from his house. Then with the ladies in the back, it was a squeeze but they didn't have outrageously huge dresses, drove to Kirribilli.

Deposited the bride etal at the Jeffery Street Ferry wharf from where they proceeded around to Captain Henry Waterhouse Reserve on the Sydney Harbour foreshore directly opposite the Sydney Opera House. It was quite a spectacular location with, besides the Opera House, the city also on the other side of the harbour, the coathanger shape of the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the west, a Royal Caribbean lines cruise ship the Rhapsody of the Seas departing, seaplanes wheeling through the skies overhead and numerous ferries and watercraft making for a constantly changing backdrop. To complement the setting Sydney had turned on a lovely blue sky Summer day with pleasant temperatures.

Although the ceremony was over in about half an hour all the obligatory photos with family, friends then with selected picturesque backgrounds of the harbour, Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Luna Park(which is just on the other side of the Harbour Bridge) and even with a NYC Checker Cab which must have lost it's way to end up here, took about another hour.

Pictures done, then returned the Bride and Groom to the Grooms home where the wedding reception was being held. For that trip the Bride and Groom rode with me in the front seat of the Coupe, a little cosy, but it wasn't a long trip. Then more photos of the pair together with the Coupe before the day was done.
