Tucson Classics Car Show - 10/16/2010

A couple of pictures from my first day time car show. Close to 500 cars. I really enjoyed the reactions of people coming up in wonderment! Seems as though many still remember our beloved Packards.

I actually had one fella walk up to me and relate a story of him and his brothers from the late 50's and or early 60's. He recalled that they would play in their Dad's Packard (55-56 Patrician) and purposely make the TL activate up and down. I couldn't resist; I invited him and his adult son to sit in 400's trunk. Of course we got the expected sag, and waited. His smile was priceless and he was so appreciative when the 400 did as she was designed to do!

Here are a couple of pictures from the show. My 400 was the only Packard in the field and a perfectly restored '58 Pontiac Bonneville took the honors in the '50's stock class. No seconds, thirds or honorable mentions; only best in each class was recognized.

I got plenty of sun and had a great time.
