Are you saying that because of the "14th" preface stamped before the VN? If so, that was standard practice for the 14th series senior cars - a curiosity for sure and to my knowledge the only year it was done, but correct. One would have thought they'd have left a space between the 'TH" and the first digits but note they are all consistently cramped together. Here's 5 more examples of it; note the 2nd one is an export RHD vehicle.
Or were you referring to some other feature of the patent plate?
