Re: Various CL Pickings

Where to begin on the '37 120, let's see, we can start at the front bumper. Actually, both bumpers are missing the horizontal black painted stripe across their centers, and that big central front bumper guard is something I've never seen before on a '37. The original front and rear bumper guards seem to be missing their black striping, also. Under the hood, as mentioned, sits a latter-day oil bath air cleaner. Moving to the interior, it's hard to tell but I don't think the seating cloth is quite authentic, buttons are missing from the seat cushions and seatbacks, and the pleating should extend all the way up and over the top of the seatbacks. The cloth on the left rear quarter and left rear door trim panels looks puckered and loose. The garnish moldings and rear seat ashtrays are painted a light color, they should have been woodgrained. It looks like the fine pinstriping is missing from the side window and backlight reveals. As mentioned, that's a lot of money for a car that is so inauthentic in it's restoration.
