I put reproduction Harley Davidson turn signal indictors on my 39. Just had to make some "Z" brackets from some flat steel stock from the hardware store to hold them. This is similar to what I used; just change the bulbs to 6 volt. As long as you are using them for turn signals, the smaller wire size seems ok. If you are going to use them for continuous use, such as for running or parking lights, you may want to change the wiring size to a heavier wire.
