Spotted this attractive 2 door Clipper on Copart.com today. It is a 26th Series Clipper Deluxe Sportster, Model No. 2697. Total production was 3,672 units. The Sportster model was a dressed-up club sedan with narrow vertical chrome strips on the center "B" pillar. This gave it the look of a hardtop at a lower price than the Mayfair hardtop. I myself owned a 1954 Clipper Deluxe Sportster and thought it was a very sharp looking car. I sometimes wish I had kept it and put some more time and money into properly restoring it. The next owner did treat it to a full cosmetic restoration in the original colors of Yosemite Blue over Packard Ivory. The result was quite striking. Below are some pictures of the car when I owned it in the late 1990's. I purchased it from a PAC member in California and it was very clean and virtually rust free.

I hope somebody buys this rare postwar Packard and brings it back to its former glory. Ad does mention flood damage, but the interior looks really clean in the photos.https://www.copart.com/lot/68360662/clean-title-1953-packard-coupe-fl-orlando-south
