No need to look outside of PackardInfo. Our webmaster, BigKev, compiled and uploaded a Packard Engine Serial Number Reference to this site's Literature and Manuals archive - under the Miscellaneous Packard Information category. I find Kev's chart to be fairly comprehensive, yet easy to follow.

It shows that your engine number falls in the range for a 1954 327 - with solid lifters, as used in Clipper Deluxe models.

This chart is also duly noted in the FAQ post on IDENTIFICATION: Engine Serial Number Reference. Many good "Answers to Frequently Asked Questions" can be found via the FAQ forum.
