This is a new topic started in STILL HAVE FUEL PROBLEMS.

I started to remove the cover from the governor, which was very difficult to do around the x frame. Cut off a small socket to reach two of them and finally got to the last one. When I loosened it fluid started coming out of the housing so I tightened it back up and added one more bolt to secure the leak.
I didn't think any fluid would be in the housing. Does this mean that the governor is faulty and leaking through?
Should I just loosen the cover and see how much transmission fluid is in the housing?
I would appreciate any help, the location for the governor is difficult at best as I work on it on my back on the ground. I think it would be easier on a lift.
