HYDRAULIC PUMP

Has anyone had problems with the Hydraulic pump for the top and windows acting erratic? The pump was getting 220lbs and working fine. Then pressure dropped to 80lbs.

I took it apart, cleaned everything and the only thing I could find wrong was a very minor burr on the check valve, which I removed with just a stroke of a jewelers file. There is also scoring on the check valve sides, but I didn't do anything about that because it moves very freely. Maybe a bit too easy. Another thing I noticed was that when the check valve is fully installed, almost 3/4 of it is out of the hole it slides in.

Now it gets weird. There's no pressure at all on the gauge. When I bench test it, nothing comes out. If I block the high pressure end with my finger, it shoots out of the return side and you can feel quite a bit of pressure in the return but none on the pressure side. And the more turns out I unscrew the pressure relief spring, the more pressure I get coming out of the return side. No matter what, I get no gauge reading at all.

I'm going nuts trying to figure it out. HELP !
