Re: ground strap

Thanks Casey and Howard,
The 356 is being rebuilt so I expect it will be a bit harder to turn over and it seemed to turn slow even with pathetic compression.
I ordered a new 00 (2/0) cable in black rubber for the negative/ battery to solenoid run and you are right Howard, its very stiff and is considerably thicker than 1 ga. - thanks for the warning about stress on the solenoid - I ordered it long so that I can adjust the length to minimize strain. I ordered the ground cable in red rubber and I can tell I'm not going to like it. I like the look of braided cable for the ground.
Then things got complicated. I found the horn wire I was looking for earlier (orange with two black tracers) and since I only need a wee bit, I thought I could order braided ground at the same time. But...looks like they only carry 0 (1/0) braided wire.
I guess if this stuff were simple and easy it wouldn't be as much fun.
Thanks Guys,
Mark
