Axle shift in 49 Packard model 2365

My 49 Packard is experiencing a rear axle shift upon acceleration and then restoration to the original position upon release of accelerator.

When accelerating aggressively, you can actually feel the rear of the car shift slightly left. Then when letting off the gas, it restores. (you can feel the car go back to "straight" position)

I am guessing that one of the rear tires is moving slightly forward or rear-word during acceleration from torque.

Looking under the car, I can see that the bushings for the leaf springs and shackle bushings are shot. So obviously, I will begin there.

The leaf springs look ok. I have already replaced the rear stabilizer bar but I am not sure if it is adjusted properly. The rear already has new shocks.

Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what could be going on during acceleration?

The entire front end suspension was just redone and seems perfect.

thank you,
