There is a procedure in section 1, hydraulic system of the 46-50 service manualpackardinfo.com/xoops/html/downloads/servicemanual4650/Section1.pdf starting on page 16 on removing the switch from the door and then removing and replacing the switches..The photos in the manual are not very good but perhaps with a switch in hand to look and compare with what you can see in the photos it can be figured out. If you have a printed manual the photos are a tiny bit better.

If not, if you can post a good photo of the rear and side of the 48-50 switch so we can see if they are similar in construction to later ones. There are some good photos of the 51-4 switch showing how those come apart and how all the individual parts fit together. Those photos have been posted here before so if someone runs across them perhaps they can link and you can see if your switch is similar.
