A gasoline filter just before the carburetor was optional equipment, yours may be that or perhaps an aftermarket model, these were made by various companies in various styles but all function similarly.

The first fuel pump pictured appears visually to be the correct original pump but look for the numbers 9116 stamped on the flange. The pump with the "Rex" label is no doubt a rebuilt unit from another vehicle and perhaps not an AC pump. Again, look for a number on the flange and perhaps I can identify what it came from.

If you're not up to buying the parts and rebuilding the fuel pump yourself I can recommend Gould Rebuilders, they advertise in all the major hobby publications.
