See Plate No 96 in the 1951-54 Parts List for an illustration of the exhaust system with supports.

The front support has a metal strap with an insulating rubber piece that is bolted to the bell housing at the upper end and to one side of a muffler clamp at the lower end. See the attached photo.
I believe that there is also a bracket at the lower end that is attached to the lower bell housing cover but not sure.

Photos of the support at the rear of the tail pipe are also attached. This one bolts to the underside of the frame.
