I expect the various Delco's Packard used are similar in layout but until something better comes along there is an "exploded" earlier Delco in section 4 of the 41-7 Clipper parts book and a later version on plate 21 in the parts plate section of the 55 parts manual. Didn't see much about Delco in the 48-54 book or in the ign training manual.
Here is a kind of photo illustration of the contact assy from the version you probably have from the 20th edition of Motors Manual. Perhaps you can get some ideas of how the weight section is constructed from the parts book illustrations.
