I see something you need to be careful of when poking around under there. The clock fuse has been removed and the bare exposed contact (circled) below the wire and metal holder is connected to the unprotected side of the circuit breaker. If you accidentally short it to the metal gauge cluster there could be a problem.

The round multicolored wire and connector does go to the turn signal switch. Here is an extraction of just the stock turn signal circuit.
