Got the tank out and the vent hose is as clean as a new whistle-I replaced it 2 years ago? I flushed a good deal of black crud out of the tank and there is clearly a restrictor in the filler neck as I can fill the tank much faster via the vent tube but the garden hose backs up in the filler tube.
Given the curve of the neck, it would be difficult to force it clear with some tool, still thinking here.
I am certain that Fred would be happy to dust off a repro tank for me... At this point, some new owner is going to get a bunch
more free stuff.
