Pointedly sluggish

Seems someone else was having this trouble, but can't recall the thread.

Just got in a 51 200 today that could hardly make it to 40 although it would start and idle quite well. First thought was fuel supply, but that was ample.

Put the old dwell meter on it and discovered that the dwell would drop to 10 degrees when the revs got up a bit. The points, a perfectly fine looking aftermarket job, simply could not close fast enough.

Just slapped in a set of Napa CS777a (Delco) points and a new condensor (RR174)to be on the safe side and all is right with the world with 30 degrees dwell up to any sane RPM.
