I haven't had the chemical dip but did do the sandblasting. The chemical dip has pretty good results although there are some things some chemicals won't touch--undercoat for one seems a bit resistant. Another is sometimes it doesn't get all rinsed out of the cracks and bleeds out later.

If you blast, two points of caution: A good competent blaster who knows what he is doing on sheetmetal is first on the list and second is after things are to the point you go to paint it, take the air hose again and go over every inch of the car paying close attention to any holes of any type in the body anywhere. Do that a couple of times. That grit likes to hide in the funniest places only to get blown out when the painter hits a certain spot in a certain way.
