dashboard for 1953 clipper deluxe switches

I ave a 53 clipper deluxe and on the dashboard there is a single wire switch like a headlight switch mounted under the headlight switch that I can not figure out what it controls. can anyone help me on this as I am rewiring the whole dash,thanks.
