The article is in error, as the very first PanAm built was "updated" by Ed Macauley in 1954 (with a new grille and a '54 dash board) and again in 1955 (with the '55 Senior rear end). This was originally a 1951 "250" convertible #2469-3630. It is now on display at the National Packard Museum. Ralph Marano's car was built from a 1952 "250" #2579-2963.
